American Radio Network is a complete and total scam. I am a radio professional and went to check it out in hopes of doing a few freelance jobs. Fortunately, I only spent 50 minutes there, which included a documentary on radio (red flags started going up here) and then a second video, poorly done by ARN which mentioned a refund of some sort. (red flags left half staff and waved full in the air at this point) I already had serious misgivings after filling out the application, which fortunately, I did not list my SS#. At the point in the film that suggested a "refund" I got up and left. On the way out, I asked one of the aides to the host if money changing hands was actually involved. He said it was, and I exited the building. Avoid wasting a single minute of your Saturday morning or Wednesday night at the so-called "audition." Trust me. THey only hold the auditions at their Hollywood studio to seduce you into thiking they are legit. I attended their 1/16/10 meeting. A complete and utter scam.
