Never heard of First Mortgage West until I recieved an email solicitation for a loan at a very low rate, about 500 to 700 basis points lower than most other lenders. The loan process proceeded smoothly until they contacted me to sign a contract for an asset verification account that required me to deposit with them one years worth of payments on the loan (about $45,000). After providing my private financial information to them and two weeks into the loan process, I was shocked. I would not do business with this company-their business practices are unethical and suspect
