Review 4/5/2010

The company includes a lot of materials in their proposal package on the quality of their work and their professionalism, but fell apart on the execution of said professionalism. They did not provide us with instructions/guidance on refilling the pool after the plastering was complete and also neglected to include a disclaimer for problems arising from the renovation.
Nobody bothered to inform us as to the schedule and when to expect what. When we called to inquire, nobody bothered to return our calls until after workmen arrived.
When we called to let them know that there was a problem with the pool light after the pool was filled, our call was not returned until 2 days later, at which time we were given a standard reply: this happens, and they are sorry they neglected to include a disclaimer about things like this. Their solution was to automatically suggest we replace the pool light without even looking into the problem, saying that the pool light was old. This would have cost us an additional $325.
Having not received any response from them, and concerned about electrocution potential, we had pool maintenance experts come in to check. In fact, the pool light was new and it was a problem with the sealant that was torn out during the renovation. The solution cost about $75.
Perhaps they are more accustomed to dealing with large complexes instead of the individuals, but they really fell apart on communicating with us properly to ensure we were comfortable with the quality of the work. Now we wonder exactly how well done the whole job was and when things will start going wrong.
Note: they were, however, very good about calling whenever payment was due.
