Check out all the review sources the Better Business Bureau, and of course YELP before you even consider hiring Pacific Coast RE-BATH. We were referred to them by a friend and aside from a handful of issues she experienced they seemed at the time the more affordable way to go. When contacting them we were placed on hold. The hold marketing message raves about there 5 Star Reviews, and an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau, etc. At that point I wished we had checked it all out for ourselves. NOT AN A+ Rating and certainly not a 5 Star Contractor.
Strike One, they scheduled an appt with us that we obviously both wanted to attend and took the time off work for. They contacted us the day of the appt to let us know that they needed to cancel and reschedule. That's not so easy with our jobs, kids, etc.
Finally the day comes when the representative Alex Flores comes to our house. To make this short let me just say that the only thing truthful out of his mouth was his name. Everything else turned out to be a flat out Lie. He claimed we could have our work done in 3-5 Business days at the most. He said we'd have to wait a few months because of their scheduling and that was fine for us as long as we could be assured to lock in a specific week in June. He assured us that that would be easy to do so far in advance. He offered a no interest plan that we signed up for with ENERBANK. We qualified for more than enough to complete the project. We still wanted more time to think about it and he said that if we have to reschedule he'd have to come out again to restart the process and it would put us way off the schedule for End of June. We went ahead and signed with the understanding that if it can't happen end of June we don't want to move forward.
Strike Two. They charged our ENERBANK account over $10,000.00. We left several messages for Alex Flores at that time with no reply. We then made contact with one of the office staff by the name of Anna and then again with one name Julianna. Anna stated "I can't find you guys in our system can I get back to you"? We said yes.
When she did get back to us she said "I found you guys and your not even scheduled till end of July through end of August".
We said that doesn't sound right at all and she agreed. She asked "what are you getting done that would take a month"? I said the dates were wrong and then asked if anything had been ordered as of yet for our project repeating our address etc and she said "no nothing has been ordered it's not even inputted yet in our system yet".
Strike 3. Our attempts to cancel several times have been met with aggressive tones and behavior by both Alex Flores Sales Representative and Baltazar Lopez General Manager. Alex, kept claiming he's not the one to talk to when he was the one making all the promises on behalf of the company. He gave us Baltazar's name but wouldn't give us any way to contact him directly. We waited 3 1/2 business days because of the front desk claim that he was out of town until today Monday, June 27 he was to be back in the office. We waited until afternoon to call him and only after several attempts through there phone service and finally the sales representative Alex did he return our call.
Baltazar Lopez should not be in any position to run a company or communicate with customers. He was the most unprofessional General Manager I have ever come across in my entire life. He Argued and defended Alex and their process through the entire conversation, said if we canceled their would be a restocking fee. I said restocking of what. He claimed material was ordered. We asked again (3rd time) for a complete itemized list of what our job required and what he claims to have ordered. To date we have not received anything.
We wanted to document with him directly and he would not provide his email address or last name. We had to look and research ourselves to get that information. We asked for the owner to contact us and Baltazar would not provide the name of the Owner which we had to find out is Michael Storms Contractors License# 871837. After my experience with this company I would call it like a see it, a complete scam.
We are looking for a complete reversal of charges with ZERO "restocking fees". We will continue to inform you as our situation continues and how it turns out. I truly dislike posting bad reviews (I went to the extra effort of creating a Acct just to post this review) but this there was no question especially after our conversation with Baltazar.
