STOP !! DO NOT USE SCHUMACHER ! If you pay another company 20% more, you will save money and headaches in the long run. I moved from LA to Australia. What went right: Initial communication, and packing contractor. What went wrong: EVERYTHING ELSE ! Once I paid, the cargo sat for WEEKS, waiting for the ship to fill. In the mean time, I only uses 60% of the minimum space (100cu ft), When I asked if I could send additional goods to fill my space (from another friend wanting to buy the remaining space and therefore share the cost) I was told it was too late. Then two weeks later, I asked for an update, and they said the goods still have not shipped !! So why was it too late to fill my minimum space??? Then they claimed the cargo shipped. A month later, they sent me an email saying my goods have docked and have cleared customs. BUT I NEVER GOT MY STUFF !! So after another week, I finally get an email stating that my stuff NEVER LEFT LOS ANGELES !!! So after TWO MONTHS, and LIES about already being shipped, and docked, and passing customs, I learn they misplaced my cargo in another warehouse all this time ! NO MENTION OF COMPESATION FOR THEIR MESS. To top it all off, by the time the cargo does eventually arrive, the lease will be up in the place I now reside. Which means I will have to figure out how to re-route the goods, which I am sure will cost even more money. And all this time, they did not even offer an apology. If they do not offer compensation, my next call will be to the BBB, and a small claims attorney.
