When I called for an estimate I was given a total of $1350. I asked and they confirmed that is a reasonable estimate given the one bedroom apartment I was moving. The Bill came out to be almost DOUBLE that. I asked and clarified before I put down the deposit that this was going to be close to the final outcome including all the little extras that do occur, the salesman confirmed it would be close. The Bill came out to be DOUBLE that. I signed papers before the men loaded the truck with the estimate and my deposit on the paperwork. After they loaded it they added in fees where they were blank when I signed. The next day, After I called the supervisor Josh, he said that was a valid estimate and it is what it is just an estimate, it's my fault for not reading the small print. I asked and clarified before I put down the deposit that this was going to be close to the final outcome including all the little extras that do occur, the salesman confirmed it would be close. The small print includes: tape, 36 rolls total $108, they use no ropes or any other things that if you read in the "free" packing equipment. The shrink wrap, which was used so liberally it only cost me $107. $40 to bag your bed in plastic. $300 to deliver to your door if a semitractor trailer cant park at your doorstep. If your doorstep is over 75 feet you have to pay $1 per foot further. Those should be IN the estimate, that should be part of the INTAKE PROCESS so as to have a CREDIBLE estimate.
